Pray in private, and if you do so in church, do so quietly: Matthew 6:5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others.”

Well, it looks like our individual is ranting again. I don’t know what point they are wanting to make. But I’ll just speak about Matthew 6:5 for a moment.

All Jesus is saying to His people here is to not make a spectacle of yourself and call it worship. Doing so may fool people watching into thinking you are some kind of holy man, maybe a better person or someone with a more direct connection to God than others. But in reality, that showman praying is getting exactly what he wants, attention from the crowds, and not God wants, a sincere heart and honest communication. So he gets what he wants. The person praying in the correct manner and attitude will be rewarded in heaven.

Also, there is nothing wrong with praying in public or churches. There are countless examples in the Bible where this occurs with no rebuke from the Lord.
